Women's Circle Fri 9/12 at 7pm

Friday, September 12th Women's Circle 


In our night together there will be room for each to arrive just as she is. It is a night where each woman can receive what she needs in that very moment, whether it be healing, connection, empowerment, support or simply peace. 


Please bring a journal, a pen and an item for the altar. Items for the altar will be returned to you at the end of the evening.

About the Monthly Women's Circle:


In our monthly women’s circle we intend to create a space to gather, support and celebrate one another as fellow women. There are so many demands upon our lives, and having a soft place to land in a circle of support is essential. We recognize the growing call for women to step into their power, take full responsibility for their lives, and move forward into the work each one of us deep down knows we are meant to do in this lifetime. The more women are given opportunities to be in the flow of giving their gifts while at the same time receiving the support they need as they do so, the more our families, communities and world benefit.


This women’s gathering is a wonderful and inclusive place to make meaningful connections with women of all ages. Each person who comes contributes to the uniqueness of the circle, therefore YOU are an essential part!


$30, plus tax. 20% discount for Unlimited Members. 


Led by Becky Coffey, MEd, MAT. Becky is a clinical mental health counselor, ADTA-registered Dance Movement Therapist, life coach, public speaker, activist for survivors of sexual abuse, and founder of Bravedancing, which offers classes, trainings, private consultations, and retreats in Kripalu Yoga, dance, meditation, and other healing modalities. Rebecca has been leading women's circles for ten years. 


Cancellation policy: Studio credit will be given for cancellations made greater than 24 hours prior to the workshop. No refunds. No credit for cancellations within 24 hours of the event or for no shows. Thank you for understanding! Space is limited and we want to make sure those who want to attend are able to!


Sound Bath on the Beach with Sue! Tues 9/16 at 6pm

Join us for an evening of peace using sound therapy as we rest on the beach with Sue Cote!


We are excited to be back at "The Brig" (Lisa's family beach) in New London for Sue's sound bath! The exact address will be sent to you once you've registered. 


Please bring a beach chair and/or towels to sit or lie on the sand. Dress in layers, as the breeze off the water may be cool. 


Sound Healing is an ancient modality used across cultures and time for its transformative ability to create balance and harmony within our mind, body, and spirit. It is a mergence where science and spirit come to meet through the intelligence of your body.  There is nothing you have to do, simply by listening and being in the presence of vibrational instruments being played, your body begins to shift and realign itself at a cellular level, supporting your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health and wellbeing. 


Rest comfortably while a variety of crystal bowls, Himalayan bowls, chimes, tingshaws, and a gong will be used to deepen the meditative state of each participant. Each instrument creates a different frequency that vibrates in the body and helps guide individuals to a  meditative and restorative state. 


The vibrations wash through you and around you, creating a concert of unique sounds that are heard and vibrations that are felt. 


More about Sue:

Sue is a Certified Vibrational Therapy Practitioner.  Her career as a Rehabilitation Therapist led to her passion for Vibrational/Sound Therapy.  During her 34 years of State service she began using this integrative medicine modality on her psychiatric patients. The impact was incredible! After retiring, she pursued further certification and began community sound baths as well as individual vibrational/sound therapy for Menla Holistic Health.  She also performed regular Sound Baths for Blissworks Yoga.  Presently she offers sessions at Grota Solna Salt Cave in Niantic as well as Assisted Living facilities and now, we're excited to have her offering Sound Baths through Zen & Now! 


Sue loves introducing this modality to those who never experienced it and seeing the shifts that occur within each individual.  She is super excited to work with Zen and Now, especially offering beachfront sessions since she is a beach lover herself!

Inviting a Mindful Pause - Mindfulness Workshop Fri 9/19 at 2pm

Inviting a Mindful Pause:

Mindfulness is becoming more mainstream, and for good reason!

Benefits of a Mindfulness Practice include:

ï‚· Reduced stress

ï‚· Increased focus & attention

ï‚· Improved health & well being

ï‚· Improved pain management

ï‚· A greater sense of connection, aliveness, connection and joy. 


This session will introduce you to (or re-introduce you to) a variety of mindfulness

practices, in a caring and supportive environment.

Topics include:

ï‚· What is Mindfulness?

ï‚· An introduction to the science and research supporting it.

ï‚· Engage in a Mindful Eating or Mindful Movement practice.

ï‚· Be led in a seated mediation practice: Finding Your Anchor.

ï‚· Learn ways to incorporate mindfulness practices in your daily life.


Please wear loose, comfortable clothing and bring an open heart and mind.


Instructor: Jessica Williamson is a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)

teacher trained at Brown University and a Mindfulness Facilitator trained through

the Copper Beech Institute.

Legit Grit Circuit Training Sat 9/13, 9/20 & 9/27

Legit Grit is a super fun, high paced, cardio circuit training class including: obstacles, agility, plyometrics and more!

All-levels welcome and modifications can easily be made!
